Yes gone too soon but that smile and great sense of humor will live on in my thoughts of him. Elma I am so very sorry for you, Jessica, Jay-R, Dan and all of his loving family. I know that you would give anything to have him here with you still but know that he is looking down on you with that big grin, peacefully and without pain. Love, Lorraine

Dear Elma, Jessica, and Jay-R

I'm sorry to hear of Don's passing. I wish it could have been different. I wish that Donald could have lived a long, and happy, and healthy life with you all.
Working with Don was always a pleasure and I know he loved you all very much. In many casual conversations on break I would ask how is your family and he would enthusiasticaly tell me about Jessica and Jay-R. He had great admiration for Jay-R and Jessica was great.
He would tell me how none of this would have been possible without you, Elma, his lovely wife. He had much love, admiration and respect for you I can tell you that. You made his life complete. Donald had many blessings to be thankful for.
In John 6:51 John states that "He who believes in the Father shall never die." I know Don belived in God.

My prayer for you all at this time,

Dear father in heaven
Please comfort Don in his returning to your Grace.
Please grant your peace and give your strenght to Elma, Jay-R and Jessica, his beloved family.
Heal their emptiness and sorrow and fill the hole in their hearts with your Grace and Love.
Deliver onto them your many blessings.
In the name of your son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior Amen.

Elma,Jay-R, Jessy, and brother Danny, who Don always spoke highly of (especially his photograpy), Do not be afraid, "ask in the name of the father and it shall be given." Amen.

Respectfully with peace and love

It hurts to hear of Donald's passing...He and I started our entry level mailroom jobs together at Bally's Park Place (way back in 1979 before the doors opened while still under construction)...
We traveled all the back stairs and to the offsite offices and put a million miles on our feet during those early days...He was always a lot of fun and was a great practical joker..and a good sport when on the recieving of one as well!
I am heartened to know that in the years after we worked together that he went on to have a very loving and wonderful family of his own..
To the loved one's (and countless many friends he left behind), I am in sympathy..and cannot imagine the loss Elma and his beloved children must feel. Gone way too soon, I still imagine the Donald I knew fit as much into his 50-odd years as most men do in a lifetime...and to Daniel, please look to the time when you and Don will be together once again! Healthy, once again, and no longer in pain...along with your parents and eventually all your friends....
I'm so sorry for your loss,
Don was a good man..(the type of man I want to be when I grow up someday)...
RIP Donald!! See ya again someday, Bud..
Sincerely,

Walter Parker

One of my favorite memories of Donald, is his ability to make me laugh, not just any laugh, but the gut-wrenching laughter, that would have you doubled over in tears!!! And of course, they would always holler at us, like to kids!! We didn't care, we laughed the whole 8 hrs, and my face and stomach hurt for 2 days!!! Don may have been small in statue, but to me, he was 6 ft tall and always the life of the party!!! He will be sadly missed, yet all the while, looking down on us...and probably laughing too!! May you find peace and solace in knowing he no longer suffers in pain!!!

Dear Don,
Since we were "locker neighbors" in the locker room, it's tough knowing that you won't be returning. I'll miss our lively exchanges and poor attempts at humor which resulted in a mutually, tear-inducing belly laugh.
I always voted for you when you ran for the toke-committee, as did all the boys.
Our loss is heaven's gain.
Rest in Peace my dear friend.
