Edith Lang Obituary



LANG, EDITH M. - 91 of Linwood, passed away at home on Sunday morning surrounded by her family. Edith was born in Philadelphia and moved her family to Linwood in 1961. She co-founded Lang's Garden Market and played the active role of book keeper for many years. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of bird watching, reading, and completing crossword puzzles. Edith was also an accomplished artist with her paintings gracing many homes in South Jersey. Edith is predeceased by her husband Alfred, her son Geoff, her twin sister Mildred, and her sisters Lenore, Agnes, Harriet, and Winifred. She is survived by her loving children Tom and his wife April, Bob and his wife. Laura and Loretta (Leyrer) and her husband Bill. Edith took great joy in her grandchildren, Eric, Robyn, Stephanie, and Jason. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 28th at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Linwood where friends may call from 9:30 am until time of Mass. Burial is private. In keeping with her wishes, donations may be made in her memory to the Renaissance Program at the William Davies Middle School, 1876 Dr. Dennis Forman Drive, Mays Landing, NJ 08330. Arrangements by the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home.
