Edna Ingles Obituary



INGLES, EDNA GRAY, 78 - of Bridgeton, died Sunday evening January 29, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden following a brief illness. She was born in Fairchance, PA and was the daughter of the late Morris and IsaMae (nee Hart) Gray. A 1946 graduate of Fairchance - Georges High School, she moved to Bridgeton shortly after graduation to work for the Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton. Mrs. Ingles remained employed there for more than 25 years. After Owens closed she worked in the housekeeping department at Bridgeton Hospital for 12 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Owens and also played in the Owens softball league. In addition, she bowled in several area leagues. Mrs. Ingles was also active with the ladies auxiliaries of the Fraternal Order of Elks, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the VFW and the American Legion. Her hobbies included going dancing, playing cards and puzzles. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Charles Elden Ingles, children, William D. Newberry, Deborah Guice, Leona Sweeney and Danielle Scull, grandchildren, Graham, Hillary, Denise, Lindsay, Jonathan, Ryan, Shanei, Tara, Carl, Daniel and John and great grandchildren, Siarra, Robert and Leanne. Additional survivors include siblings, David and Samuel Gray, Beryl Tait and Ethel Davis all of Fairchance, PA and Lib Sacasky of New York. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning February 4th at 11 o'clock at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton with Pastor Linwood G. Sharp of the Rosenhayn United Methodist Church officiating. The interment will be made at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday morning from 9:30 until 11. Memorial contributions are requested in lieu of flowers to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, PO Box 65039, Dallas, TX 75265-0309. Written condolences and tributes may be offered to the family using the funeral home website, freitagfuneralhome.com
