Edward John Markowski Jr.

1944 - 2024

Markowski Jr., Edward John , - 79, of Mays Landing, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024 from complications caused by heart failure. He was born in Mullica Township, NJ on September 28, 1944. He was a graduate of Oakcrest High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Olivet University. Ed was married to his beautiful wife, Lorraine for 57 years. He is survived by his two children, Kelley and Eddie; four grandchildren Rebecca, Edward, Kate and Maria; his sister Joan; and numerous friends and relatives. Ed's personal interests included hunting, fishing and farming. He served the state of NJ as a conservation officer for 27 years and was active in his later years with the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance. The family would like to recognize COL Daniel Gallagher M.D. for his dedication and support.

A viewing will be held at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, NJ from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 15th and Tuesday April 16th from 10 to 11 a.m., with a service at 11 a.m. The burial will be private.
