Gavin W. Muir

Muir, Gavin W., - 79, of Smithville, passed away May 26, 2022, at the AtlantiCare Medical Center. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Sea Isle City, New Jersey in 1984. He attended Seven Dolors Grade School in Wyndmoor, PA and Bishop McDevitt High School in Wyncote, PA. He worked many years at Garrity's Restaurant in Sea Isle City and he also worked the last 17 years at Twisted Dune Golf Club in Egg Harbor, Township, NJ. Gavin is predeceased by his wife Joyce (McCaffray) Muir and his youngest son Geoffrey Hetzell Muir. He is survived by his son Iain G. Muir of Cape May Court House, NJ; his granddaughters Cameron & Devin Muir of Tuckahoe, NJ; his brothers John (Anne), Charles (Suzie), David (Janice), James (Ruth), Mike (Suzanne), his sister Janet Garrity (Bill), and many nieces and nephews. Mass of the Christian Burial for both Gavin and Joyce will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 at Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 5021 Harding Highway, Mays Landing, NJ at 12:00 p.m. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301Cheltenham Avenue, Philadelphia, PA.
