George Mulherin Obituary



MULHERIN, JR., GEORGE E., 74 - of Wildwood, formerly of Newportville, PA, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005 in the Burdette-Tomlin Medical Center, Cape May. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Irene and George E. Mulherin, Sr. Mr. Mulherin was raised in Mayfair and graduated from North Catholic High School. He resided in Newportville, PA for 30 years before moving to Wildwood, in 1989.He had been employed by A.E. Stahley in Morrisville, PA and the Aqua Beach Hotel in Wildwood, and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wildwood.He was a Veteran of Korea serving in the Navy on the USS Wright. He was an avid Eagles fan and will be sadly missed by his friends at the Firehouse Tavern in Wildwood. Most importantly he was devoted to his family.He was the loving husband of Doris J. Mulherin (Nee Goodbred), Loving father of George E. Mulherin III of Levittown, PA and Donald J. Mulherin, Sr. and wife Christine of Penndel, PA, devoted grandfather of Donald Jr., Leanna, Alyssa, Ashtyn, and George IV, Loving brother of Charles Mulherin and wife Norma of Princess Anne, MD and Carol Thomas and husband John of North Wales, PA loving brother-in-law of Richard and Shirley Goodbred, Julia and Jack Lawler, Sarah Gilbert, John and Rita Goodbred, Ben and Jean Goodbred, Russell Goodbred, Lois and Elliott Greenberg, Charlene and Bill Domanski, and Janice and Michael Fratantaro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday Sept. 6, 2005 from 7-9pm and Wednesday Sept. 7th from 8:30-9:30 am at the Molden Funeral Chapel Inc. 133 Otter St. Bristol, PA. A funeral mass will follow Wednesday at 10AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church Croydon, PA with interment in Resurrection Cemetery.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lauren Mulholland, c/o Crest Savings Bank, 3301 Pacific Ave. Wildwood, NJ 08260.
