Howard Joseph Jordan Sr.

1941 - 2023

Jordan Sr., Howard Joseph, - 81, of Galloway, passed away at home in Galloway Township, NJ on August 22, 2023. Howard was born August 25, 1941 in Egg Harbor City, NJ, the son of the late Howard R Jordan and the late Elsie (Kurtz). He was a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Anne C. (Sandfort), daughter; Michelle A. Jordan, son; Howard J. Jordan Jr. (Michelle), son; Michael J. Jordan (Christine), grandchildren; Megan (Wesley) Hall, Amanda (Shane) McConnell, Jacob M. Jordan, Howard J. Jordan III, Joshua M. Jordan, great grandchildren; Jackson, Finley, Mya and Shane. He also is survived by beloved nieces and nephews. Howard was preceded in death by his sister, Carol (Mike) Hansberry and his brother Robert (Sharon) Jordan. Howard is well known in Galloway Township as the founder of King Tires. He developed many properties over the decades in and around Galloway. Howard retired in his 50's and enjoyed traveling with Anne and spending time with his family. They found Marco Island in the late 80's and purchased a home spending a considerable amount of time in Florida. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends sharing great food, laughs and an occasional family poker night.

Services for Howard will be held Monday August 28, 2023 with the viewing from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Wimberg Funeral Home 211 East Great Creek Road, Galloway 08205. Services will immediately follow. The interment will be held at Laurel Memorial Cemetery in Egg Harbor Township following the service.
