I will always remember my freshman year in algebra when you would always smile no matter what.. i appreciate the fact that you would always come to my track meets even though you had a life of your own.. I am so honored to have been in your presence during your time here on this earth.. But you are finally where you wanted to be.. You earned your way into heaven and god put you here long enough to touch many people and i am happy I was one of them... It was just like yesturday i seen her. We were jumping up and down making a huge sence in public. And it was then i realized she was not only my friend, but my sister. I remember the first time meeting Jalisa. Of course she was friendly as ever and ready to make friends. then the next thing you know me and her just clicked. Started to hang out everyday, and making the best of everything. I guess what i'm trying to say is Jalisa is not only a friend to me she is a sister. She wasn't just someone you look at and say okay This is her and thats , that. Jalisa is my sister, my best friend and now my guardian angel. I believe Jalisa is not only an angel but a star in the sky with HIGH intentions. Your daughter meant more to me then just a friendship. She helped me with everything. Thank you for bring your daughter into my life. May god bless your soul. I'm always here for you and your family.

I am saddened at this terrible news and hope that you can all get through this. I will miss Jalisa greatly. I feel a heavy weight in my heart when I know that I will never hear her laugh or see her smile again, which is what she always seemed to be doing whenever I saw her. However, I know she is in a better place now and I will never forget her. Jalisa was a friend to me when I was alone and was always there to reach out to anyone who needed it. Although we grew up and started our freshman years at separate colleges, I will always remember this last facebook message she sent me: "im glad we are still friends since elementary school but lets keep in touch some how. talk to you later, jalisa."

My heart grieves at the loss of one of my daughter's, Natasha's, classmates and childhood friends from the neighborhood. I can still remember Jalisa coming over for a little Halloween party we were having:) And even though our children were growing up and doing their own things, Jalisa still remembered me when I was checking out in her line at ShopRite. She grew up to be a beautiful, young woman. When any of my children's friends were around, I always treated them like my own and so my sadness is for a mother and father who has lost their daughter at such a young age and a brother who has lost their big sister. Jalisa was a great young lady. She never had a harsh word for anyone and was always so well mannered, which can only be contributed to the wonderful up bringing that the two of you have instilled in her.
I know that there are no words that can ease or begin to take away your pain. But always remember that God makes no mistakes. If God brings you to it, he will definitely get you through it.
You will never get over losing your daughter but as the days go by, you will learn to get through it a little more each day.

Jalisa was a very sweet girl I am proud that i got to know her while we work together at shoprite. Jalisa was always a good girl with a smile that could light up a room. She always did wherever I asked her to do. When she worked with me in the youth Dept. Jalisa never refused to go anywhere. When I said we had to travel Jalisa was there.She is still there right here in our hearts. We love you Jalisa.
