JERRY D. LANGSTON

LANGSTON, JERRY D. 66 - left this world with family at his bedside on September 1, 2012. Born in Battle Creek, Michigan, Jerry grew up living the military life of frequent moves to many locations around the USA until finally settling in Galloway. Jerry served with honor and distinction in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to his service, Jerry attended Clemson University in SC. Upon completion of his term Jerry then attended Trenton State College. Jerry went to work at Caesars in Atlantic City during its first year of operation and retired from there in 2005. Jerry leaves behind his wife Merle, son Jason, daughter-in-law Rebecca and their two children Maya and Eliana. His two beloved daughters Allecia, her fiancee Jason Snyder, and Nikki currently attending The University of New Haven. Jerry is survived by his three brothers; Robert Langston, wife Linda; John Langston, wife Joan; Richard Langston, wife Judi and many beloved nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his family of golf buddies. Jerry enjoyed going on fishing trips with various friends and family and especially with his daughter Nikki. A day was not complete without completing 18 and Jerry attained every golfer's dream by hitting a hole-in-one at McCullough's Emerald Golf Links on May 29, 2008. Jerry was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend; his infectious laugh and smile will truly be missed for years to come. Memorial service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 East Great Creek Road, Galloway Township, NJ 08205. Family is requesting donations to be made in Jerry's honor to The Vietnam Veterans of America, South Jersey Chapter #228, PO Box 239, Somers Point, NJ in lieu of flowers.
