Joan Vyas-Frey Obituary

Vyas-Frey, Joan (Cannavo), - 60, of Las Vegas, Passed away May 20, 2021 at home with her husband by her side. Joan was born in Philadelphia, PA but lived most of her life in N.J. graduating from Hammonton High School then resided down the shore. Her life path 20 years ago brought her out to Vegas where she met her husband Michael Frey and made many lifelong close friends. Joan's career started in the casino business but the loving and caring person she was she decided to go back to school to become a Registered Nurse to do what she was meant to do. Joan was always smiling and enjoyed the little things in life. She always knew how to bring fun to any kind of situation and bring a smile to our faces. Her Family was very important to her and she always managed to bring us together. She is Pre deceased by her parents Joseph J. & Immaculata Cannavo. She will be sadly missed by her Husband Michael Frey, brother Joseph A. Cannavo, sister Jacqueline Abrams (Glenn), niece Stacey Cannavo, nephew Nicholas Abrams, Anthony Abrams (Lindsay), Uncle Freddy DiTheodore and many loving cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to Joan's Viewing, 9:30am Friday, June 4, 2021, Holy Cross Church 651 E. Springfield Rd. Springfield, PA. and to her 10:30am Funeral Mass. Joan will be laid to rest with her parents at Saint Peter and Paul Cemetery. Arrangements made by O'Learys Funeral Home.
