Joe, I am at a loss for words. I still cannot believe you are gone. How can I pick up the pieces of my broken heart when a piece of it is gone? You were always there for me and loved me like no man will ever love me. You were truly the love of my life. You told me the day before you passed that if you died tomorrow you would die a happy man because you found the love of your life and that was me. I am so lucky and honored to have been loved by you. I will carry you in my heart always. The last five years have been the best years of my life. Every day we would end our conversations with you telling me "te amo con todo mi corazon" and I would reply "yo tambien." Well now it is my turn...Jose A. LaBoy te amo con todo mi corazon!" Rest in peace until we meet again.

To The Laboy Family -I am still shocked and my heart is saddened to have Honorable Jose "Joe" Laboy leave us so quickly. When I was a teenager (I'm 5 years younger), Joe Laboy took us on a large bus trip to Rutger's University and inspired us to seek higher education to live better lives. What a kind, loving, sincere man he was to me, our family, friends and community. Thank you God for bringing Honorable Jose "Joe" Laboy in our lives for he was a beautiful instrument of God.

Our sincerely symphaty to joe's family. Joe was a good son, husband, father and friend. Joe was a person who battled to unite the Puerto Ricans. Back in 1972 joe and Elizabeth Silva founded an organization named, "Puerto Riquenos Unidos" with office at 6th street (Oh! te acuerdas) From that office Joe and his staff did the best to to help the city youths. It was a good foundation, but one man could not lead all the horses to the water fountain. Joe was a good son, husband, father and friend. Joe never say no when someone ask him for help.
Death is the reward of lfe." Life is not a destination" "life is a journey" A journey that we all must walk on the same trail until we meet on the square. MAY GOD REST HIS SOUL IN PEACE.
