JOSEPH CETRONE Obituary

CETRONE, JOSEPH J. 80 - of North Cape May passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the home of his daughter in Landenburg, PA. Born in Philadelphia, PA and formerly of the Overbrook Section and South Philadelphia; he summered in Cape May since 1980 and became a full time resident here in 1998. Joseph was a retired Lieutenant with the Philadelphia Police department. He also worked at Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. Joseph served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Villas VFW, Villas Fishing Club, enjoyed visiting the casinos, and especially enjoyed singing Frank Sinatra tunes. Joseph is survived by his wife Louise (nee Morrone) Cetrone; his son John J (Patti) Cetrone; his daughter Roseann (John) Salasin; and his grandchildren: Joanne (Joseph) Stetler, John J (Becky) Cetrone Jr., John Robert Salasin, Rian Salasin and Devon Salasin. Also surviving are his brothers: Domenic (the late Joan) Cetrone and Carmen (Fran) Cetrone. There will be a Memorial Service at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friend may call from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Interment of cremains with military honors will follow at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Joe was such a dear friend and had the voice of an angel. He and Louise were one of the 1st people to welcome me to the VFW and F.C. and I'm proud to be included in thier circle of friends.
