Joseph Wilson Obituary

WILSON, JOSEPH KEVIN - of Hammonton, born on July 16, 1961, passed away peacefully with his family at his side. He is the son of Doris Wescoat Wilson, Hammonton, and the late Joseph G. Wilson. Surviving are two brothers: Steven and David; four sisters: Susan Williams (Norris), Brenda Falciani (Delfino), all of Hammonton, Rhonda Snyder (John) of Tabernacle, Donna Brown (Albert) of Winslow; nephews: Tony Williams, David Bruno, Joshua and Zachary Brown; Nieces: Valkyrie, Alexandria, Galadriel Falciani; a great niece and nephew; also many loving aunts, uncles, cousins. A Hammonton resident all his life, he attended Atlantic Vocational School where he received National Auto Mechanic Certification. A graduate of Hammonton High School, Class of 1979, he then attended Slot Mechanic School at ACCC. His career included working as an auto mechanic and 23 years at Trump Plaza as a shift supervisor. In his youth, Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing. Attending Philmont Boy Scout Camp in New Mexico. He had a passion for the Dallas Cowboys, American History, and ardent movie buff, an avid reader, and had an affinity for Batsto and the surrounding Pine Barrens. Joe was a racing enthusiast and enjoyed working on race cars. He loved dining out, gardening, and international travel. His most recent trip was to Russia. Each year he looked forward to the Atlantic City Air Show, Christmas, and celebrating his birthday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Festival. Joe was devoted to his family and will be remembered for his story telling and generous nature. During his long illness he found comfort in his dogs, family, friends, and his faith. Viewing, Wednesday, August 5, 2009 from 6 PM and services at 8 PM at the Landolfi Funeral Home, 237 Bellevue Ave., Hammonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse, 1800 Lombard St., Phila, PA. 19146
