Josephine H. "Sissy" Fetter

Fetter (Nee Hayes), Josephine H. "Sissy", - 82, of Ventnor, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 1, 2023 and entered into heaven. She was born in Somers Point, NJ and was a lifelong Ventnor resident. Josephine attended St. James Grammar School in Ventnor where she met the love of her life, John H. Fetter. She also graduated from Atlantic City High School. After high school, she worked at NJ Bell Telephone and Atlantic City Electric as a secretary in the Personnel Department. Josephine married John on November 30, 1963, started a family, and was a homemaker for many years. She later worked for The Hembold School in Ventnor. Josephine was a past member of the Ventnor Heights Mothers Club. The most important thing in her life was her family. She was a devoted mother and always there for her children. Josephine loved the beach, boardwalk, gardening and traveling. Her Irish sense of humor and laughter will truly be missed. She is predeceased by her parents, Vincent S. and Josephine G. Hayes, her sister, Margaret Carson, beloved husband John, and her son, John III. She is survived by her daughter Grace Ragozzine and husband Lee, son Vincent Fetter, granddaughter Christina Stanfa, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 6th from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a mass at 11 a.m. at St. James Church in Ventnor. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, NJ. Donations can be made in her name to The Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Arrangements by the George H Wimberg Funeral Home, Linwood - Ventnor. Condolences may be extended to the family
