Joyce Costanza Obituary

Joyce Marie Costanza

August 3, 1930 - August 24, 2025

Joyce Marie Costanza (née Louderback), lovingly known as Joycee, passed away at the age of 95 on August 24, 2025, in Linwood, N.J. Born on August 3, 1930, in Haddonfield, N.J., Joyce lived a life marked by love, generosity, and life's simple pleasures. Joyce was born and raised in Haddonfield N.J., and graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School. She also lived in Cherry Hill N.J., Jupiter Fla., and Galloway N.J., before her peaceful passing. As a young woman, she enjoyed her summers living with her parents in idyllic Ocean City N.J. Little did she know her life was about to change forever…when Joyce noticed a young military school grad living across the street from her. With a twist of destiny, as they gazed at one another from afar, what evolved into a summer romance became a lifelong love and an enduring marriage. Her heart always remained in New Jersey, close to family and the N.J. shore she cherished. Joyce's life was filled with wonderful experiences including travel within the U.S. and abroad; woven with the threads of her passions and the people she held dear. Joyce's faith guided her through life's twists and turns, providing comfort and strength. Her spirit resonated when she played the piano and organ, or playing cards, mahjong and more; in her younger years, she was a member of her local Questers, where she shared her enthusiasm for history with her close friends. Joyce also spent time as a volunteer at the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach. In recent years, Joyce enjoyed creating intricate jewelry-art and doing puzzles with family. Those who knew Joyce will remember a woman of spirited nature, whose love and generosity were as boundless as the ocean she adored. She was reserved, always well-organized, and undeniably classy! Her legacy is carried on by her loving family: her daughter Lisa McHugh (Brian); son John Costanza (Donna); son-in-law James Donahue; grandchildren Gregg Fahrenbruch (Theresa), Jamie Donahue (Jackie), Colin McHugh, Justin McHugh (Gabrielle), Christopher Costanza (Lindsey), Haley Costanza, David Costanza; and great-granddaughter Carsyn Costanza. Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Anthony J. Costanza; daughter, Barbara C. Donahue; and son Mark S. Costanza. The memory of her loving, spirited, and generous nature will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends. Joyce will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 30th at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Road, Galloway, N.J. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service. Interment will be held 11 a.m., on Tuesday September 2nd at Locustwood Cemetery, Cherry Hill N.J. - 1500 Marlton Pike W. For directions and condolences, please visit Wimbergfuneralhome.com
