My heart is heavy realizing the loss of such an outstanding human being, friend and mentor. As a young man Karlos took me under his wing and helped me navigate through the early stages of my life with his unwavering care and guidance. He helped shape me into the person that I am today and I am very thankful to him. He gave me hope as a young man to focus on my dreams and follow my heart.
Over the years we have remained close and he always checked to make sure that I was paying it forward by helping young folks in the manner that he helped me. He was truly something special and I will miss him dearly.
Thanks big brother for all that you were to so many people, travel in PEACE and know that you are loved and appreciated...

Karlos was my neighbor for a while when he lived with his grandson and his family
I remember when he would go to church and someone would pick him up. He was the best dressed gentleman you would ever see. When he eventually had to go to assisted living at Meadoview Nursing Home, I would visit him when I would visit my father. He was always interesting and enjoyable to talk to. My condolences to the Lashane family.

My deepest sympathies to Mr. LaSane“s family and friends. I worked with him at Local 54 for several years and he was a tall, handsome, Hard-working business agent. Always the best dressed man around the building, and you always knew he was there because you would catch a whiff of his wonderful cologne! He helped many people as business agent, going to grievances and getting members reinstated to their jobs. There will never be another Karlos.. No reflection on his son or grandson, I did not know them, but I knew Karlos and he was truly a special individual, wonderful help to the community his whole life. Rest in peace my friend

Karlos was a great AC resident. He was a giant in this city. He was one of the most respected leaders in the area. He made a very positive mark and will always be remembered for his good deeds.
