Dear Eileen: I try never to miss a death notice of a Spartan but I missed Kevin´s. My condolences as you mourn his death. I´m sure his short life was fruitful and he rests in the bosom of Christ Jesus. God bless his family who mourns his loss.

Kevin was one of the smartest men I ever met in his field of HVAC as I was one of his students. He was such a pleasure to be around. We worked together at SJG. He will be sadly missed. Rest in peace my friend...

I am so sad to hear this news. Years ago Kevin coached my son, Ryan's little league baseball team. We won the season that year and made so many great memories along the way. Kevin was a great guy with such a kind demeanor. He will be missed by many. Rest in peace, Kevin.

Kevin always put others before himself. His permeable, positive energy, quick wit and intense sense of humor always was in force and made him a pleasure to be around. Kevin is one of the most intelligent people I have ever known. He shared his gifts with his many students who now garner successful careers and lives. Kevin was steadfast in his convictions, upheld justice and always fought for the underdog. There are only two reasons you did not like Kevin. Either you did not like hearing the truth or you lacked a sense of humor. He served in the armed forces during the Vietnam War and carried heavy burdens about the loss of his brothers with reverence and grace. Kevin fought ALS the way he lived his life, with courage and without the existence of self-pity. He was an angel on earth and now is free of pain to watch over us from heaven. I will miss him dearly.
Sincerely, Beth Petuskey
