It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lawrence (Larry) Upton on November 10, 2025 after a brave battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Carol, and family. Larry was a devoted husband, proud dad to Kristen Gazo (Michael Gazo), and Nicole Lindemuth (Chris Lindemuth), and grandpa to his four grandkids Mikey, Leanna, Lauren, and Sofia, who he cherished deeply. He was known for always helping others, his big heart, and the way he made everyone feel like family. Larry grew up in Absecon with his sister Kathy Dixon. He graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1974. Enjoying outdoors on his boat, kayaking, skiing, playing paintball, riding quads and dirt bikes. He was known for his wild and crazy adventures. Though our hearts are broken, we're grateful for the love, laughter, and memories he gave us through the years. His strength and kindness will forever be in our hearts. A celebration of Larry's life will be held on Sunday November 16, 2025 at the Galloway Wimberg Funeral Home - 211 E. Great Creek Rd., Galloway, NJ 08205, from 11 am to 12 pm. So sorry to hear about Larry´s passing. I worked with Larry at Lafayette and knew him as a great guy. I can remember the "union "meetings in Brian´s garage. He will be missed.
