To the entire Applegate Family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I worked with Loretta at the Purchasing dept for 11 years until I resided in Florida in "94. I visited the Purchasing office in 2001 and had the pleasure of seeing her one last time. Looking at the obituary for another person I stumble on both her name and another gentleman who also worked with Loretta (Andrew Magazzu). Both (2) wonderful human beings.

Gate,
Words alone cannot express the sorrow I'm feeling over the loss of your Mom. Your Mom and Dad could only be described as my surogate parents when we were growing up and I'll never forget that. Whether it was playing hockey in the street or enjoying onion sandwiches and fried tomatoes over the holidays, I will never forget the love shared with your folks. Your whole family will be in our prayers during this sad time and I will have the best memories of growing up with them. I miss you Loretta and Arch. If your ever in the area try and get in touch with me.

Rob,
I wanted to offer my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. Having lived on Church Street I got to know you and your parents - what a great family. I remember sitting in your mother's living room soon after I found out my mother was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer listening to her kind words of compassion and comfort. She was truly a caring person. I just wanted to let you and your family know that my thoughts are with you.

I was saddened to read today of Loretta's death. I hadn't seen her since our school days. I remember her dating Bobby Applegate who lived across the street from me on Sewell Avenue. Loretta was 2 yrs ahead of me at HSHS. For me she was a role model. She was one of, if not, the smartest girls at Holy Spirit. I wanted to be like her. I remember her being kind and loving and so pretty. I'm sure her loss is exceptionally painful at this Christmas time and I will keep you all in my prayers that you can be strengthened by your love for each other and your memories of Loretta.

I worked with Loretta for several years at Caesars. My husband had been diagnosed with a brain tumor 5 yrs. ago. Loretta was so supportive and helped me so much during that time. I will never forget her support and kindness when my husband passed away in Jan. 2006. She was truly a kind and caring person who will be missed very much.
