Louis Dabundo Obituary

DABUNDO, LOUIS C., 77 - of Somers Point, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2007 in the Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point. Born on August 26, 1929 in Pleasantville, he was the son of the late Nicola and the late Lena (nee Totoro) Dabundo. Lou was an all-purpose employee at Uncle Dick's Country Store in the Bargaintown section of Egg Harbor Township for a number of years, and he also worked as a maintenance employee for 14 years at the Meadowview Nursing Home in Northfield. Mr. Dabundo enjoyed baseball, and in his younger years, he was affiliated with the Pleasantville A's baseball team. He was a graduate of the Pleasantville High School's Class of 1948, and he was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Ave Maria Council #4211 in Pleasantville. Lou is survived by his brothers: Leonard Dabundo & his wife Ruth of Cherry Hill, Anthony Dabundo & his companion Gloria Gail of Marmora and Vincent J. Dabundo Sr. & his wife Eileen of Northfield; his sister: Loretta Crowne & her husband Ed of Egg Harbor Township; also survived by his numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as his aunts: Grace May, Anna Totoro and Gretchen Totoro. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday April 2, 2007 from 7 to 9pm in the Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc., 1650 New Road, Northfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 10am in the Church of Saint Bernadette, 1421 New Road in Northfield. Interment will then follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery on Harding Highway in Mays Landing. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Lou's name are respectfully requested forwarded to the Friends of Meadowview, c/o Meadowview Nursing Home at 235 Dolphin Avenue in Northfield, NJ 08225. i remember louie from when i was a child going to uncle dicks,,,he was actually one of my favorite memories,i would ride the old brown horse they had at the store,,and never fail,louie always seemed to be there to help me up and down with a smile,,,in later years when i seen him,he always sparked that memory of kindness,,thank you for such a sweet man,,
