Longo, Margaret, - 99, of Linwood, NJ passed peacefully on Saturday November 18th, surrounded by family. Margaret L. Bouslair was born in 1924 in the Freie Stadt Danzig, now the city of Gdansk, Poland. She lived in Danzig and Germany until 1947. While living in Esslingen Germany in 1945, Margaret met her future husband Andrew G. Dluhy, who served in the European Theater from 1943 – 1946 with the US 3rd Army. They were married in 1946 in Esslingen and returned to the US in 1947, where they resided in Clifton, NJ. Andrew passed away in 1972. Margaret continued to reside in Clifton until 1985. Margaret was a retiree from the Hoffman-La Roche pharmaceutical company, where she met her second husband, Joseph Longo. Margaret and Joe married in 1986 and relocated to Linwood that year. Joseph Longo pre-deceased Margaret in 2005. Margaret is survived by her son Richard and his wife Andrea, from Homewood, Alabama, and daughter Joan and husband Jack Salerno, from Linwood. Grandchildren include Christopher Dluhy, wife Nakisha (Hoover, AL), Peter Dluhy, wife Emily White (Skokie, IL), Andrew Dluhy (Philadelphia, PA), Dana (Salerno) Dudo, husband George Dudo (Northfield, NJ), Daniel Salerno and fiancé Meredith Price (Salt Lake City, UT), and Jillian Salerno-Sartschev, husband Ryan Sartschev (Annapolis, MD). Margaret was also blessed with 6 great-grandchildren living in Alabama (Mahalia and Camille Dluhy), Illinois (Violet and Sage Dluhy), and New Jersey (Cecilia and George Dudo). Margaret lived a long and eventful life and left an impression on everyone she met. She had a spirited personality that, united with a love for her family, made her a force of nature. Margaret combined a strong will with a sneaky sense of humor, and especially treasured her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves a legacy of strength, tenacity, humor, and love that will forever be warmly remembered by her family and friends. The family would especially like to thank the Brandall Estates nurses and staff, as well as Cindy Darling, Margaret's long-term aide, for their exceptional and loving care. The family would also like to thank NJ Health Hospice for their compassion and excellent care. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association in support of its mission of support, education, and research for everyone impacted by Parkinson's Disease.

Family will be receiving friends and loved ones at Adams Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on February 23, 2024 in coordination with Margaret's 100th birthday weekend. Immediately following will be a service of remembrance.
