MARGARET NILSEN Obituary
NILSEN, MARGARET (PEGGY) (NEE HARTMAN) 74 - of Barnegat, formerly of Ventnor, died after a short illness on Thursday, July 22, 2010. She was born in Monroe, LA and moved to Ventnor as a child. She was educated in the Catholic schools of Ventnor and at Atlantic City High School, obtained a BSW from Kean College, and did graduate work at Fordham University. She worked as a social worker in the field of alcoholism and drug addiction where she was admired and revered by patients and coworkers alike. Margaret is survived by husband Walter, children Kathleen, Kristen and Walter, and grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Elliott, and Phillip. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday, July 27 from 1 to 3 PM, with services at 3 PM, at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 7300 Ventnor Avenue, Ventnor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Covenant House New Jersey (http://www.covenanthousenj.org).
