Marie J. Dolceamore

1941 - 2021

Dolceamore, Marie J., - 80, of Linwood, passed away on November 27, 2021. Born on April 5, 1941, in Atlantic City, she lived in Atlantic City, Northfield, and later resided in Linwood. Her legacy spans 80 years hailing from Atlantic City, proudly attending Our Lady Star of the Sea, and Holy Spirit High School. She began working for Prudential at the age of 17 and quickly rose into a leadership position with a career that spanned 34 years. She also enjoyed many years working part-time on the boardwalk in Ocean City in the summer, the Shore Mall, and Harrah's Casino. After retiring from Prudential, she continued her career in Guest Services at Harrah's Casino in Atlantic City for 22 years. Marie was a proud member of the Son's of Italy, an active member of her church, and cultivated many long-lasting relationships within her community. Marie was the ultimate daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many, always showing her love, support, encouragement, advice, devotion, and kindness to all. No holiday or celebrated event was complete without Marie. She had an infectious smile, an endless kindness, constant support, and a fierce, never-ending commitment to her family and friends. In addition to spending time with her family, creating memories traveling abroad was one of her joys in life. She had many devoted friends with whom she had incredible adventures in life. She was a devoted Catholic and this devotion nourished her selfless commitment to her family. To her family she was affectionately known as Aunt Marie, later, to the next generation as Aunt Re, now, lovingly known to us all as "ReRe". Family was everything to her, and she was everything to her family. Predeceased by parents Albert and Victoria Dolceamore, brothers Albert Dolceamore (Dolores), Edward Dolceamore (survived by sister-in-law Nona). Survived by her brother Anthony Dolceamore (Rosemarie). Devoted Godmother to many, loving aunt, cousin, and sister to her large, loving family. Marie will be forever in our hearts and forever missed. To honor Marie's legacy of kindness and devotion to family, in lieu of flowers an offering can be made in her name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 4th, from 9:30-11:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 724 Maple Ave., Linwood, followed by a Mass beginning at 11:15am.
