Marie Sheridan Obituary

SHERIDAN, MARIE RITA (Doris), 88 - of Galloway. Our beloved Marie left this world to join her much loved Joe who is already by God's side, on June 14, 2007. She will be remembered fondly by her four children, Joanne Hunter, Eileen Devlin, Joseph and Michael; ten grandchildren, Aileen, Jennifer, Christine, William, Noreen, Carolyn, Kristen, Kevin, Jason and Brian; nine great-grandchildren; and many great friends and family - Jim, Ethel, Fran, Kathy, Helen and the many new friends she made at Sunrise Assisted Living. We will miss her great sense of humor and her many stories. Marie was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spent many hours doting over them. Marie was a member of the Galloway Township PTA and the Women's Club in the 1980s and more recently was a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Now here's the plan: Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Elizabeth Seton Church, Absecon, where family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. Interment will be made at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CARE Alternatives Hospice, 70 Jackson Drive, Suite 200, Cranford, NJ 07016. Arrangements by Lowenstein Funeral Home, Galloway.

Although the loss of Marie or as I called her Mommom has been difficult, her family and friends look back at all the wonderful times they had with her. As much as they want to cry it is for the better because she is now with her beloved husband Joseph Sheridan or as I called him Poppop. Thinking back I am glad for all the memories I have of her that are memories to be shared with everyone possible so people know who she was and how awesome she was. She was a women to be remembered.

Although we are sad for the loss of our grandmother Marie, we will think more of the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. I would also like to send my sympothies along to the rest of my family during this difficult time, especially to my mother Joanne who through my entire life has always been the strongest person I've ever known.
