Marion Ann Girard, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2024, at Royal Suites Nursing Home in Galloway, NJ. Marion was born on March 10, 1938, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Helen and Robert Morgenstern. Marion was a former resident of Philadelphia. She, with her husband Tom, moved on to New Jersey, residing in Browns Mills and then to Mount Laurel. In 2011, Marion and her husband Tom moved to The Village Grand at English Mill in Egg Harbor Township, NJ to be closer to her sister Jeannie. Marion enjoyed shopping, working in her garden, making crafts and going to Seaside Heights, Atlantic City and Ocean City. Marion is survived by her son, Ralph Beswick; stepdaughter, Apolonia Galie; sister, Jeanette "Jeannie" Raine; and brother-in-law, Cedric Raine. Also survived by her granddaughters, Ashley Mercado, Laura Tasan, Jennifer Girard; grandson, Ty Mercado; and stepgrandson, Sean Galie. Her great-grandchildren include, Mina Mercado, Reese Girard, Aydin Tasan, Ashley Tasan, Finnegan Galie, Delia Galie, Neil Galie, Tighe Galie. Marion is preceded in death by her late husband, Thomas Girard; son, Larry Beswick; stepson, Robert Girard; brother, Robert Morgenstern; sister, June McCord; and first husband, Ralph Beswick.
A visitaion for Marion will be held Friday June 28, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at The Godfrey Funeral Home, 4008 English Creek Avenue, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ 08234. With a Memorial Service to follow at 12 p.m. Burial will be private. For condolences to the family please visit www.godfreyfuneralhome.com.
