Mary Heard Obituary

HEARD, MARY LOUISE, 80 - of Bethlehem Township, PA, formerly of Ventnor and the Langhorne-Newtown area of Bucks County, PA, died Saturday, June 9, in her residence. She was the wife of Robert Heard. They were to celebrate 56 years of marriage later this month. Born in Monroe, LA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Patterson) Hartman. A homemaker, she was also a member of the Bucks County Chapter of the DAR and was a conant in the Miss Atlantic City Beauty Pageant. Surviving with her husband are sons; Robert, Jr. and wife Maria of Tucson, AZ, Andrew and wife Karen of Phoenix, AZ, daughters; Margaret, wife of J. Donald Catanese of Yardley, Anne Marie Heard of Sacramento, CA, Susan Heard, with whom her parents reside, and Cynthia Heard of Philadelphia, a brother Joseph Hartman of Seaville, sisters; Elizabeth Green of Henderson, NV, Margaret Nilsen of Barnegat, and Patricia Olson of Edgewater, FL, and grandchildren Jeffrey, Alison, and Bridget Catanese, and Camille, Shane, Nora, Daniel, Christina, Ryan, and Andrea Heard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne's RC Church, 450 Washington Ave., Bethlehem at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 6 - 7:30 p.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden St., Bethlehem. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the charity of one's choice.
