Miriam Spellman Obituary

Miriam A. Spellman

November 10, 1947 - June 18, 2025

Minister Miriam Anna Dyitt Spellman, 77, of Atlantic City, departed this life on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Born in Atlantic City, she was a lifelong resident.

"Sniffy" or "Nonnie" as she was affectionately called, attended the Atlantic City Public School System, graduating in 1965. After receiving her Associates Degree in Applied Science at Atlantic Cape Community College, she began her career as a Chemistry Lab Technician at Atlantic City Medical Center, where she retired with over 40 years of service.

Minister Spellman loved more than anything, the Lord and her family. She was a dedicated member of Second Baptist Church where she served in many ministries.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her beautiful daughter, Tracy and her husband Carl; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fredericka and Pearl; two brothers, Poogie and John; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Second Baptist Church, 110 Rev. Dr. I.S. Cole Plaza in Atlantic City, N.J. The viewing will begin at 9 a.m., and services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be immediately following at Atlantic City Cemetery.
