PATRICIA MCPHERSON Obituary

MCPHERSON, PATRICIA "PATSY" (NEE KEENE) 74 - of Cape May, went quietly home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 11, 2010 with her children and family at her side. She was born in Philadelphia and was a lifelong resident of Cape May. She was formerly employed by Southern Jersey Airways; Shop Rite; Cape May County Facilities and Services and most recently retired from Fare Free Transportation. Patsy lived to love her family. She was a great friend, sister, aunt and nanny but most of all a great mother. She taught her children to love and laugh. She gave them faith in God and compassion for others. Her will was immense and her sense of humor was endless. She loved unconditionally and never walked away from her children. Patsy loved all the yearly family vacations to Walt Disney World and also the quick get-away weekend to Lancaster for a camping trip. She enjoyed baking, crocheting and time with all the little ones. More of her favorite times were those spent over the holidays and all the family gatherings with her children, family and friends. Along with her parents, Eugene and Elizabeth Keene, Patsy is predeceased by her brothers, Eugene "Bud" and Donald Keene. She will be sadly missed by her loving family which includes her five children, Chuck (and Barbara) McPherson, April (and David) Wilburn, Deborah McPherson, Dorothea (and Michael) Emery and Michael McPherson; her brother, Billy (and Laura) Keene and her sister, Dottie Keene Farrell. She adored her eleven grandchildren, Elizabeth Larusso, Raymond Hober, Jr., Michael Hober, Sr., Miranda Michelle Jarman, Elizabeth Cresse Clark, Jacquelyn and Amanda Hall, John Anderson; Crystal and Carley McPherson and, in heart, Morgan McKinney. Her five sweet little great grandsons include, Michael Hober, Jr., Julian Weidman, Ernie Irons, Jr., Hunter Clark and Damien Thomas. She had seven nieces and one nephew who filled her heart with joy and was also survived by her childhood friend, Richard Dougherty. "Patsy, may the Lord bless and keep you." A "casual" memorial gathering will be held on Sunday (June 20th) from 2-4pm in the West Cape May Fire Hall where the family will be receiving friends and celebrating Patsy's well-lived life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, PO Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260; Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 Route 9 North, Swainton, NJ 08210 or to Cape Regional Medical Center. Beautifully put! I am one of lucky ones to have been a recpient of Nan's great love and laughter. The many , many, memories of her will always be happy. I have a lifetime of great memories from growing up alongside her children as she always made me feel as I was one of her own. I am so saddened by the passing away of Nan and know that she will be waiting with open arms and her caring heart when we meet up with her on the other side. God Bless you all and know that you were all so lucky to have been blessed with such an awesome gift in a mom. Love, Christa
