Patricia J. Scanlon

SCANLON, PATRICIA J., (nee Keller), 82 - of Atlantic City, passed away quietly early Thursday morning, October 26, 2006, at Our Ladys' Residence in Pleasantville. Born in Detroit, Michigan Pat was raised in Delaware where she ultimately met her husband at a roller-skating rink. They fell in love, married and she has lived and raised her family in Atlantic City for more than 55 years. Pat had served as an Atlantic City School Crossing Guard at both the Richmond Avenue School and the Chelsea Heights School. She found much pleasure in the simple things of her life; going to the beach reading, ceramics and crocheting. Most important to her, however, were her family; husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Patricia is predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Tom Scanlon, her parents Joseph and Madelon (nee Keenan) Keller, brother Charles Keller, sister Joan Bradley and her best friend Anna Mawhinney. Surviving her are her three sons; Thomas (Margaret) Scanlon of Ventnor, Lawrence (Sara) Scanlon of Absecon and Michael (Sharon) Scanlon of Galloway Township; daughter Patricia Scanlon of Atlantic City; grandchildren Sean, Kevin Bridget, Meghan, Michael, Lindsey and David Scanlon, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass for Patricia Scanlon will be Celebrated 11:00am Monday, October 30, 2006 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church California and Atlantic Avenues.
