Pauline Santoro
(nee Balducci) Pauline Santoro, on August 24, 2025 age 94 of Margate, NJ, formerly of Fairview, Camden, NJ. Beloved wife for 61 years to the late John H. Santoro. Dear mother of Marie A. (Anthony "Skip" ) Galiazzi of Collingswood, NJ, Robert J. (Kari) Santoro of Cherry Hill, NJ and the late Dr. John J. (surviving spouse Sharlene) Santoro, of Linwood, NJ. Loving grandmother of Anthony J. (Nicole) Galiazzi, Jr., Alisha M. (Peter) Corelli, Jason R. (Kimberly) Galiazzi, John J. Galiazzi, Krista A. Santoro, John E. (Tara) Santoro, Michael J. (Haley) Santoro, Jordan C. Santoro, Kara N. Santoro and loving great-grandmother of 15. Cherished sister of Michelina (Stephen) Scaramuzzi and the late Dolores (the late Anthony) Farino.
Pauline was born in Camden, NJ to Vito and Anna Balducci and grew up in the Whitman Park Section of Camden. She was a scholar student in Camden Public Schools, graduating from Camden High in 1949 with the Dukes Award. She developed a love for reading books early in life which continued well into her senior years.
She met the love of her life at Santoro and Sons Manufacturing and married John H. Santoro in 1950. Together, Pauline and John raised their three children in Fairview. They were devoted to St Joan of Arc Catholic School and Church. As one of the Founding Committee Members of the St Joan Arc Annual Carnival, she managed the carnival food services with her husband John for nearly 20 years. While raising her family she also worked at the PUB Restaurant as a financial assistant and then as Administrative Assistant for City of Camden Purchasing Agent and was active in the community. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, member of Fairview Ladies Sodality Society, President of the Ladies Fairview Little League Auxiliary, and Rambler Football Team Auxiliary, co-chairing many Candy Fund Raisers.
She was a steadfast Bingo enthusiast, routinely meeting friends for dinner, bingo, slots, and blackjack at Atlantic City casinos. She had a love of baseball and could often be heard cheering on the Phillies! Above all she cherished being a grandmother and great-grandmother – delighting in every game, sporting activity, school project, modeling or dance competition.
Relatives and friends of the family will meet for her viewings on Friday evening, August 29, 2025 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Saturday August 30, 2025 from 9:00am to 10:15am all in the BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, 1300 North Kings Hwy., Cherry Hill, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday August 30, 2025 in St Vincent Pallotti R.C. Church/St. Joseph The Worker Parish, 901 Hopkins Rd., Haddon Twp., NJ.
