RANDOLPH S. "RANDY" MASON Sr.

MASON, RANDOLPH S. SR. "RANDY" 68 - of Belleplain died Monday morning at home after a lengthy illness. Born in Millville he was the son of the late Everett J. and Irene Saduk Mason. He was a lifetime resident of Belleplain. In the 1950's Randy worked in Avalon pumping gas and dredging the Island to restore the beach. He owned and operated Dennisville Service Center and RMR Towing. In his later years he was a friend and handyman for many. Randy was well known in the racing circuit, he was ranked 2nd in the IDBA Pro Stock Motorcycle Drag Racing, and he also was a member of the NHRA and raced cars. Randy was a wonderful father, a devoted family man, a great friend to everyone and he enjoyed animals. Surviving are his son, Randolph Mason, Jr. and his wife Pam of Four Oaks, NC, daughters, Tammy Lynn Mason of West Palm Beach, FL, and Elizabeth Robinson and her husband Joe of Belleplain, a brother, Everett J. Mason of Belleplain, grandchildren, Michael A. Mason, Bridgette Tripoli, Andrew S. Owens, Dylan J. Mason, Devin L. Mason, and Dominique A. Mason, 10 great grandchildren, good friends, Chris Gans and family, and his best buddy "Brindle". A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will be held at the Belleplain VFW on Woodbine Ave. in Belleplain on Saturday August 20, 2011 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund P.O. Box 1053 Wildwood, NJ 08260. Arrangements are being handled by Hoffman Funeral Homes Leesburg.
