RONALD LUPTON Obituary

LUPTON, RONALD EDWARD "HOOT" 72 - of Northfield, passed away suddenly on January 5th 2011. Ron served proudly in the US Airforce from 1958-1962 after graduating from Pleasantville High School Class of 1957. Some of his fondest memories were of his days at Pleasantville High School playing football, visiting some of his favorite watering holes and enjoying the company of his family and friends. Pop will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was a true friend, his unique sense of humor made us all laugh and his political and social views stirred many family debates and we will all cherish and use to reflect on his life. We will miss you Poppy. He is survived by his sister Betty Breckley (Breck), Brother John Lupton. His five children John Lupton (Sandy), Ron Lupton Jr., Christine Fabel (Larry), Noreen Hennig (Mike), and Colleen Rodman (Dan). He is survived also by his seven grandchildren "Little" Ron Lupton, Colton, Rachel, Jake and Zach Fabel, Jason Rodman, Erin Tredinnick (John) and one great grandchild Ryann Tredinnick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial Services Saturday from 5-7 pm at Adams Perfect Funeral Home 1650 New Road Northfield NJ 08225.

Poppa Lup was one of a kind and anyone who knew him would understand that.We part ways with him with tears in our eyes, this time not out of laughter but with sadness and broken hearts. Pop was an amazing, loving, funny yet stubborn guy and it is an honor to say he was a very dear friend to us. R.I.P. Pop we love you and miss you!

I was in church tonight when I heard of Ronnie's passing. We were good friends and neighbors when we were in Northfield and went to both Mt Vernon and Mll Road Schools. But most of all we went to Youth Fellowship in the Northfield Methodist Church. Even though I haven't seen him for many years I will always have those childhood memories of laughter and good times as his friend. My prayers are with all his family I will ask God's Peace for all of you.

I was stunned and saddened to hear of Ronnie's passing.
In every memory I have of Ronnie , he always had a big smile on his face. and I doubt that anyone could spend more than a few minutes with him, without sharing a joke and some laughter.
Sadly, I don't know the words that could bring you the kind of comfort you must need now through this time of loss.
But I do know for sure that Ron loved his family with all of his heart and that you brought him much happiness.

Thinking of all of you with sympathy,
Love, Marjorie & Tom D

Our sympathy to the Lupton family on the passing of Ron & Terry. Ron and Ray graduated from Pleasantville H.S. '57, played football together & were friends. Over the years, we would run into Ron once in ahwile & he always made us laugh. He had a great sense of humor. We double-dated with Ron & Terry to the class of '57's 15th reunion. We had a great time with both of them.

Ron and Terry are in our prayers and may God bless all of their family.

If there were ever a man who could tell you 'where to go' yet ALWAYS manage to leave you smiling (even laughing) it was Uncle Ronnie!!! I will always remember him as an outwardly gruff man (who was inwardly as kind as Santa Claus and who posessed a Heart of Gold)...I am so sorry to hear about his sudden passing.
I know for sure, that you kids and his grandchildren were his pride and joy!
He has left us all such a wonderful legacy in leaving you all behind to carry on his name.
Knowing that Ronnie was never a man to avoid a controversial subject in conversation, I have this to say to him now...
I'll see ya in Heaven (the room UPstairs)..I'm sure he'd take isssue with that prediction but ANYone who knew this man will agree that's where he'll be...God Speed to a Good Man..
(to join your Mom Terry in wait until you're all reunited one day)..Youthful once again, and for eternity...
Good keep Terry and Ronnie until that day! Love,
Ray Johnson, Jr.

My sincere condolences to Ron's family and friends. "Pop" was one in a million - his personality filled the room wherever he was. I will fondly remember our conversations over a cold beer about the Eagles, Phillies and his athletic achievements. He will be sadly missed by the many friends that he touched.
