RUSSELL ROBERTS Obituary

ROBERTS, RUSSELL A. 87 - of Vineland, died on Tuesday at the Millville Center/Genesis after an extended illness. Mr. Roberts was born in Scranton, PA and had lived in Vineland for the past 20 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving from 1939 - 1945. Mr. Roberts was a supervisor in the machine shop at Kerr Glass for over 25 years, then he retired from Maul Bros. after ten years working in sales. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Millville. Mr. Roberts was a member of the Shekinah Lodge #58, F&AM, where he served as Past Master and Past Grand Chaplain. He enjoyed golfing, reading and doing crossword puzzles. He is survived by his loving wife, Mildred; daughters: Karen Roberts and husband Eric Ogawa of Hawaii, Jo-Anne Roberts of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Donna Horsfield and husband John of Hamburg, PA: two grandsons: Christopher Horsfield of Allentown, PA and Daniel Horsfield of Hellertown, PA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 8th at 11am in the Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10am. There will be a Masonic service at 9:45am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Assoc., 1250 Highland Blvd., Suite 4 B, Staten Island, NY 10305. Written condolences may be sent to: [email protected]
