RUTH HERRIOTT Obituary

HERRIOTT, RUTH N. (nee SMITH) 91 - of Linwood passed away peacefully at Linwood Care Center after a brief illness on July 6th, 2011. She is predeceased be her parents Lena and Howard Smith, Brother Charles Smith, and husband Jack Herriott, the love of her life. Ruth was born in Atlantic City, and lived most of her life in Linwood where she met her husband Jack and spent the next 70 years of her life as his wife. She raised her two children, Marjorie Rago (Bob) and Jerry Herriott (Louise) in Linwood. Ruth was one of the original members of the Seaview Baptist Church of Linwood. She will always be remembered as a sweet, soft spoken, caring, woman who loved her home and her family. She loved to cook and was known for her special desserts. Ruth is also survived by her four grandchildren, Christopher Rago (Alexis), Mark Rago, Stacy Quinn (William), Holly Herriott and two great grandchildren Charles Rago and Cole Rago. At 91 Ruth is also survived and will be greatly missed by her childhood friends, Anna, Cain, Ruthe Parks, and Edna Shaw. Services will be held 10am Monday July 11th at the Middleton-Stroble & Zale Funeral Home, Somers Point. Burial Zion Cemetery, Egg Harbor Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 9-10am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Seaview Baptist Church 2025 Shore Road, Linwood NJ 08221
