Sheila Gallagher Myers

January 17, 1948 - September 13, 2025

Sheila Gallagher Myers passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 77, in Virginia. Sheila was born on January 17, 1948, and dedicated her life to her family and community.

Sheila was a beloved figure in her community, serving as a councilwoman for the City of Estell Manor from 2007 to 2011. Prior to her tenure as councilwoman, she was the President of the Home and School Association for Estell Manor from 1998 to 2005. Sheila also had a long and rewarding career as a healthcare worker at the Gospel Hall Home for Aged Christians, where she worked for 25 years. Author of: My Unbreakable Spirit: The Story of an Orphan's Journey Through Life. She leaves behind her husband Harvey of 54 years; her daughter, Rebecca; son, Brian; grandchildren, Brianna and Parker; and her sister, Sharon Graham. Sheila was preceded in death by her three babies Harvey Jr, Lori Marie, and David. Her adoptive parents, Rose and Francis Gallagher.

Sheila will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her warm and compassionate spirit.

Harvey and Rebecca, my sincerest condolences. Sheila was one of the kindest people I know. May your memories bring you comfort. She loved all of the babies she cared for, Ryan was lucky to have her for the first few years of his life.
