I remember Steve so well. I joined US Vets in July 2010and I would see him from time to time when he was doing his VSA job in his office upstairs. About 7 months after I joined the us vets family, I started working the front desk overnight until morning when I got off. That´s when I started to really knowing Steve a lot better. He would be on his rounds though out the us vets building checking locks and doing his nightly security check like he did every night. And Rusty, the the cat would always follow him when he was doing his rounds. It was so funny. Steve thank you for letting me get to know you. You were a very caring and wonderful person. I know we will see you again in heaven.......your friend. Wade Holloway

I had the pleasure of knowing this man for four years and this loss really cuts to the core. Being a fellow veteran it always hurts to lose another one.
Steve was one of the most caring and friendliest guys you would ever want to meet. He NEVER said no to a friend, no matter what the need was or when you needed it. Or if he could help you find it he knew where to go or who you should talk to!
Life was not always kind to Steve but he never let you know it or see it. I fondly remember the many hours we shared talking and laughing about life and what was going on. And he always was after me to go to White House Subs back home. Told me it was the best sandwich I will ever have.
Steve, I will see you again one day and look forward to the chance to talk with you once more.

To Jim and the Basmajian family and friends, I had not seen any of the family in decades but that could never remove the memories of growing up with you in A.C. Please accept my condolences on your loss and know you will all be in my thoughts and prayers. May Jesus help the healing with all of the happy memories of Steve as he lived it with us and we will all meet again in God's house. Rest peacefully and God bless you.
