Tammi Norwood Obituary

Tammi Norwood

February 1, 1961 - April 5, 2025

Tammi Norwood, 64, of Pleasantville, NJ, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, surrounded by family. She was the daughter of Ralph and Mary Norwood.

Tammi grew up in Atlantic City, and she attended Atlantic City Public Schools. As a child, she also attended Salvation Army Church and spent many Sundays worshiping with her family.

She worked mostly in the casino industry as a dealer, most notably Bally's Park Place. She also worked several years as a crossing guard.

Tammi was friendly and outgoing to all who knew her. She always had a joke to tell to brighten up your day. To which she gained many friends over the years. To know Tammi was to love her. If you needed someone to be by your side in times of trouble, Tammi never hesitated to be there for you.

Tammi enjoyed taking long walks. Whenever you walked into her home, you could easily see her enjoying her favorite songs. In fact, Tammi loved a wide range of music of different genres and played them loudly for all to enjoy. She also used to love to read many thriller, drama, or horror books. She and Clayton used to frequent an antique shop that sold many books that both can read. She also didn't miss an opportunity to play a game of spades or enjoy dinner with them. Tammi loved her family and was always worried about them, but she would express to love them no matter where they are.

Tammy is predeceased by her son, Saeed Norwood; her father, Ralph Norwood and mother, Mary Norwood; siblings, Linda Norwood, Darryl Norwood, Keith Norwood, and Brian Norwood. She is survived by her sons, Nathan Tyron Gray and Clayton Mikal Norwood; her brothers, Steven Norwood, Richard Norwood, and Steward Norwood; her niece, Kelly Norwood and nephew, Kevin Norwood (who was raised with her); her aunt, Barbara Dorn; her uncles, John Dorn, Isaac Dorn, and Gene Dorn; and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 18, 2025, at Jennings Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10 a.m. Burial in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville.

I remember Tammi as always being kind and friendly while attending school in the A.C. public school system, and paths crossing while growing up in A.C. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
