Dan was a great friend when we were younger. He was always full of life and laughs. Unfortunately we drifted apart after I left the area. I recall many great memories when I think about Dan. Fishing, water skiing, redoing his blue Malibu station wagon before he left for the Air Force and mostly his wedding day to Barb. While waiting for his bride to arrive, we were behind the alter in the church. He was a little nervous and found a door to open to get some air. He laughed and said he could just leave out that door. I told him that he could leave if that was what he really wanted to do, and I would explain it to everyone.
Dan looked at me with the most serious look and said "but I really love her" and closed the door. That was the start of many happy years with his wife and the start of his family.
