To the Alvarez Family,
I was so sorry to hear of the loss of such a wonderful person. I know Bill from my years of working at the Oceanview Restaurant in Cape May, with his sister Theresa. I also know him from the Cape May Dancers where my daughter used to dance. I always looked forward to seeing him there. The look he had on his face watching the stage was the face you would expect to see all daddys' watching their little ones. Bill always had something nice to say to me. I will miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers are with your family through this difficult time.

Sarah -
I am terribly sorry about your loss, and please forgive me for not being able to attend along with Lisa and our children for Bill's services. My thoughts are with you and your children, and I am grieving along with the rest of you and your extended family.
We are praying for you and the kids, and know that you are being cared for by the people who love and care for you in your hometown. I asked Lisa to let you know of my thoughts and prayers, and this guestbook entry permits me to do that should Lisa be unable to do so.
May Bill rest in peace - I'll always remember him in this way: he always smirked or smiled when he saw me. Always extended a hand. Ornery folks always know each other. God bless you. Jim

To the entire Alvarez Clan:So sorry for your loss. I've often wondered where Bill settled down. I knew Bill many years ago in the G&A neighborhood of N.E. Philly when he was a security guard in and around the apartments by The Aquatic club. He took his job very seriously then, and I'm sure he was the consummate proffessional as a police officer during his entire career. I was always hoping to run into him sometime, to see how he was doing, and based on all the guest visits here, I can see he became a fine Father, Police Officer and citizen. I guess I'll have to wait and see him up with The Big Guy, for surely he will be waiting there, guarding The Gate with his chin up and his chest out. May you all find peace knowing that. Sadly, Andrew Ungaro

Sarah,
Please except my deepest sympathy. Bill's death is a sad loss for you and so many others who knew him. I too will sorely miss him, both from a personal and from a professional standpoint.
Bill has left behind a memory of a charming and most generous man. I feel privileged to have counted him as a friend. (CMPD - 1974-2000)

To the Entire Alvarez Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Bill. I knew Bill when I worked at Wawa. I remember working during the night of a bad noreaster and power went out during the midnight shift. We only had a couple of emergency lights on and had to lock the store up and stay put. Bill kept driving by every half hour until power was back and would shine the light in and we had to shine the flashlight out the window as a sign we were okay. He made us all feel safe during any shift. He gave me very helpful advice during a difficult time in my life and I will always be grateful to him for the help he gave me. Bill was a great man and did so much for the community and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He will be sadless missed by everyone whose lives he has touched. My deepest condolences are with his entire family during this time. May god be with you.
