Annie Gravitte Obituary

Annie L. Gravitte, 82, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2009.

She was the daughter of the late John William and Olivia Gordon Curtis, and the widow of Eugene Edward Gravitte.

She is survived by a daughter, Jean G. Moore and husband, James, of Colonial Heights; two grandchildren, Theresa Hudson and Edward Moore; five great-grandchildren, Lauren, Kellsie, Chad, Alexis and Megan; a sister, Viola Lowe of Wakefield; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, with the Rev. James Taylor officiating. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. A special "thanks" to Riverview on the Appomattox Nursing Home for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, VA 23805. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
