Aubrey Brown Obituary

Beloved Aubrey John Brown, 79, of Chester, departed this life Thursday, July 24, 2008, at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Md.

He was a native and a lifelong resident of Chesterfield County, and was he son of the late Ms. Ray Brown Tucker. Mr. Brown was a member of Gravel Run Baptist Church, Dinwiddie and served on the usher board.

Mr. Brown retired from Brandermill Country Club after more than 10 years service. He relocated to Washington, D.C., in 2000 where he resided with his daughter until his health declined.

Left to cherish his memories are: his daughter, Sharon Johnson; granddaughter, Tracey Johnson; and great-grandson, Josiah Preston.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at the Chapel of William N. Bland & Son Funeral, Petersburg; Dr. Larry D, Brown officiating and the Rev. Leonard Johnson eulogizing. Please send any cards or flowers to the funeral home.

Aubrey, I just wanted to say that I have enjoyed watching out for you these last 18 years. Although we weren't close at first all that changed because of the beloved Annie Mae Brown. I will always love you and cherrish your prize memory
