BABY RUTH CAMPBELL Obituary

Baby Ruth Campbell of Richmond, Va., passed away on March 18, 2017, at her residence. Baby Ruth was born on June 12, 1928, to the late William and Mary Talley.

Baby Ruth was a people's person. She loved her children and her children loved her. She loved citing poems. But nothing compared to the love she had for her Creator. Baby Ruth was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness until her passing. She was a member of the Ginter Park Congregation.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Christopher Campbell and Irvin Wilkins Sr.; three sons, Forrest, Kirby, and Irvin Wilkins, Jr.

Baby Ruth union with Irvin produced nine sons, Larry (Roberta) of McKenney, Terry (Mary) and Robert (Ethel) of Lawrenceville, Va.; Donald (Zelma) of Enon, Va.; Timmy (Carlotta) of Newport News, Va., and her baby boy, Ronnie (Michelle); three daughters, Brenda (Earnest) of Richmond, Va., Cherry (John) and her pissy wissy, Jacqueline "Penny" (Rodney) Parham of Petersburg, Va.; a brother, Robert (Jean) Talley of Petersburg, Va.; two sisters-in-laws, Katherine and Mable Talley. A numerous amount of nieces and nephews; five devoted, Brenda, Shirley, Joanne, Debbie and Allen "Bo" Talley; over 50 grandchildren, four in whom she supported with rearing, Alison Legal, Jacqueline Kersey, Charita and Darius Tucker; one granddaughter, who thought her grandma was the best thing since sliced bread, Sharman Robinson; 35 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

On behalf of the family we would like to thank each and every one of you, for your acts of kindness, phone calls, visits and words of comfort and most of all your prayers.

A service of remembrance for Baby Ruth Campbell will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 2801 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Richmond, Va., with Bro. Lester Mitchell, officiating.

Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda (Ernest) 1809 Parlow Dr., Richmond, Va., at 10 a.m. on the day of the service.
