BARBARA J. NACE

Barbara Johnson Nace, 68, of Chester, Va., passed away, Saturday, April 29, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, James M. Johnson and Natalie Wood Johnson; and a sister, Nancy J. Millis. She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Archie L. Nace, Jr.; son, Timothy D. Nace (Beth); daughter, Karen Nace Howe (Chuck); grandchildren, Christopher A. Nace, Brittany N. Nace, Houston T. Shifflett, Cole T. Howe, Kyle M. Howe, Rachel L. Howe, and Jason M. Nace; sisters, Teresa Jackson (Harold), Christine Ruchala (John); as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Barbara graduated from St. Leo College in 1982 with her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. She then went on to work at Fort Lee, retiring after 20 years of Civil Service. Barbara enjoyed reading, sewing clothing, cross stitching and crocheting blankets in her free time. She was above all a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and devoted wife.

The family will receive friends, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral, 820 W. Broadway, Hopewell, Va. A funeral service will be held, 3 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017, at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
