After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, and was the family DJ along with his brothers Edward and Richard, fishing and watching wrestling with his brother, Kenny, wife Susie, and Mrs. Anna Snyder. Ben was the life of all family gatherings! Most of all, Ben loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Aunts; Linda Pegram (John) and Maggie Weaver; all of DeWitt, VA, Uncles; James Queen (Ruth) of DeWitt, VA, and Deacon William Gee, of Ford, VA; great Aunt, Catherine Gilliam, of DeWitt, VA and devoted cousin, Janice Easter, of Dolphins, VA; nieces, Arquetta, Toni, Victoria, Kenasia and Kaylyn; nephews, Darius, Shawn, Devon, Joshua, William, James, and Kendrick; great-nephews, Darius, Jr., and Shawn, Jr., devoted friends; Mrs. Anna Snyder, Mack Bailey, Calvin Bailey, and Larry Harris; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends too numerous to name.

My heart goes out the Weaver family Ben was my former brother-in-law he was more like a brother in the family. Continue to look up to the hills God makes no mistake. He saw Brother Weaver getting tired. He said my child take your rest. You will bare no more pain. So he wrap his arms around him and now my brother in Christ is taking his Rest. Your labor and reward has done well on this side of the Earth. R.I.P Ben your legacy will still live on.
