Cheryl, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I remember the countless sleepovers, the basketball games and the delicious meals prepared by a very warm hearted woman. I loved it when she called me Karen Mae and allowed me to call her Brenda Mae. But, what I especially loved was calling her Soror. I will keep you and your sons lifted up classmate.

Brenda was a very caring soft spoken person. As a teacher, she provided guidance and direction to her students, something often missing in their own home environment. Having taught with Brenda for years at LL Beazley Elementary, and later her principal, I witnessed firsthand the skills and qualities that she shared daily. Our community will miss this lady.
