Catherine Kelly Obituary
She was a native of Hopewell and the daughter of Irene Kelly and the late Wilbur S. Kelly.
At an early age she confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was member of Friendship Baptist Church where she served on the usher board.
Mrs. Kelly was retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company in Petersburg.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Antonio (Tony) Jones; one sister, Jessie Lee Peterson (Leroy) of Hopewell; two grandsons, Dwayne Jones and John Jones; five great-grandchildren, Jada Jones, Dwayne Jones Jr., Ja Shawn Jones, Aaliyah and Alaijha; one brother, Bishop Jerry M. Kelly (Pastor Brenda Kelly) of Chester; three sisters-in-law, Rosetta Jones (Randy) of Prince George, Martha Kelly and Mardie Kelly of Hopewell; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends among them devoted Aleemah Spence, Fatima Cochran, Marlene Labord, Lee (Roy) Peterson, Fatima Little and Oliver and Naomi James.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at Friendship Baptist Church, Hopewell. The Rev. Dr. Carl M. Johnson, pastor, will officiate. Bishop Jerry Kelly, pastor of Antioch Christian Center in Richmond, will deliver the eulogy.
Interment will follow at Mt. Sinai Community Cemetery, Prince George.
Family and friends will assemble at the residence 1 p.m. on the day of service.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the staff of Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell, the Rev. William N. Bland Jr., funeral director, now serving from three locations: Petersburg, Waverly and Hopewell.

Aunt Babysis, as we called her, will be sorely missed. I treasure the memories that I have of her, how she loved us and made me laugh everytime I saw her. She will be truly missed. Love, Antoine Sr., Kalle, Quenton and Antoine Jr.
