Clinton Stell Obituary
He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Stell; his mother, Josephine Stell; and stepmother, Sallie Jones Stell. He was born on June 30, 1925, in Dinwiddie County. He served in the U.S Navy and was a retired shop machinist at Allied Signal.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Bernett R. Stell; a son, Clinton Avery Stell Jr. and wife, Brenda B. Stell; a daughter, Rosa S. Cole and husband, Harper C. Cole; four grandchildren, Amy Cole Siefferman, Harper Brandon Cole and wife, Crystal, Angela S. Stoher and husband, Glen, and Clinton Avery Stell III and wife, Natasha; four great-grandchildren, Cody Glen Stoher, Ryan Avery Stoher, Sean Caleb Cook and Harper Avery Siefferman.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, with the Rev. Jo Ellen Hetherington officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
