Ella Ashworth Obituary
Born in Southampton County, she was preceded in death by her father, Alton Lee Johnson. She retired from Allied Signal (Honeywell), after 37 years, as a quality cntrol auditor.
Mrs. Ashworth is survived by her husband, Elbert J. Ashworth; a son, Alton "Keith" Ashworth; a daughter, Angeliea Ashworth Collier and husband, Stuart W. Collier; a grandson, Jason Ray Collier; two granddaughters, Peyton Tyler Collier and Emma Grace Ashworth; and her mother, Viola Fowler Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013,in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Ella to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.

Angie, Keith & Elbert I am deeply saddened by your loss. "Red" was a lovely lady. She treated as one of her own. I have so many memories of her that are good. Wish I could be there for ya'll. I am so sorry to learn of Ella's (I and others affectionatelly remember her as "Red")passing. She was hard working and crazy about her kids. I am unable to attend visitation on Thursday but know that I am thinking aboaut about you and have fond memories of babysitting Keith and Angie.
