To The Entire Family:
Mere words can not express how heartbroken I am as I extend my deepest condolences/sympathies at such a time as this; may the STRENGTH of GOD be your foundation as the LOVE of GOD is wrapped around you for comfort and the PEACE of GOD gives you the understanding needed during your bereavement. Theres not a childhood memory I have growing up in VA that dont have Ernest in it (Ernest, June & Curly) were like the big brothers I never had. God went walking through his garden and decided to pick you and although well miss you something terrible, GOD wanted you home with him and certainly GOD knows best so take your rest in Abrahams bussom til we see each other again.

With All My Love,
Sandra Brown (Polly)

Ernest will always be missed by many. His laughter lighten up the room. I am so thankful that I had a chance to meet him. To his family, "Be strong for each other and know that to your father, "You are his favorite child." Know that God will be there for you all you have to do is call His name. Smile, knowing the battle is over,

I first met Ernest on a cloudy weekend afternoon while doing some custom wiring on our home that was under construction. He surprised me as I wasn't expecting anyone to show up while I was working. He introduced himself and set about closing up the home as a storm was coming and he wanted to make sure everything was secured. He was pleasant, smiling and happy to be working as he always was, I came to learn in the months that followed. Construction was completed and we moved in. Anything we found that wasn't quite right, Ernest would be the one to make it right. When he fixed it, it was right. He was a neighborhood fixture, always smiling always willing to talk for a few minutes, a good friend for the years after we moved in while the neighborhood was built out. He helped make our house a home and the neighborhood a family. He will be missed.

Ernest will be missed. We always looked forward to seeing him and talking with him. He always spoke lovingly about his children and grandchildren. As others have said, Ernest was always smiling. We are blessed to have been a small part of his life. God bless Ernest and his family. Prayers going up for him.

It was such a pleasure to know Ernest. He was always so pleasant and helpful and did everything with a smile. He was such a hard worker and I never heard a complaint from him. If you needed anything, there he was. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as I know he will be greatly missed. The world is a little less bright with his loss.

My heart was saddened to hear about the death of Ernest. My husband and I met Ernest as our house was being built in Atlee Station Village in 2007. He was immensely helpful to us and so many of our neighbors as he was Jack of all trades it seemed. Always a wave and a smile and a helping hand when needed. He will be missed.

My wife and I have gotten to know Ernest in 2015 when we first moved from Lancaster, PA to Mechanicsville, VA. He was a very kind and unselfish human being. Being new to the area he became the go to person whenever we needed some assistance. We will always have fond memories of Ernest and he will be missed for sure.
