EVA ROLLINS Obituary
Eva attended Hopewell Public Schools with her attendance culminating in the earning of a General Education Developement (GED) certification. She was a member of the Food Services Department of Hopewell Public Schools from 1977-1997.
With spirituality as an essential part of her upbringing, Eva was baptized at Mount Carmel Baptist Church at the tender age of eleven. She maintained her membership until she united with the church family of Mount Olivet Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mabel Christian; her father, Herbert Christian; four brothers, William, James, Nathaniel and Wilbert; three sisters, Viola, Ellen, Otis; and her husband, Henry Lee Rollins.
She is survived by nine children, Waverly Richardson, Carolyn Richardson Townes (Joe), Marilyn Richardson Lawrence (Thomas), Kerry Richardson, Tammie Rollins-Hines (Jay), Shawn Rollins, Kimberly Rollins, Dionne Rollins and Sonya Rollins Charles (Cliff); seven grandsons, Thaddeus, Adrian, Kareem, Damon, Devon, Marcus and Cameron; seven granddaughters, Tracy, Tammy, Malaka, Tisha, Brittany, Jordan and Christian; twelve great-grandsons; ten great-granddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Homegoing service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016, at the Chapel of Bland and Tucker Funeral Home, Hopewell; Pastor Eugene Henry, eulogist. Interment will follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.

To the Family: We were neighbors for many years...a very sweet child of God. Although no words can really help to ease the transition you bear, just know that you are very close in every thoughts and prayers. Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about.
